What kinds of remodeling does Woodson Construction do?
We like to break it down into 4 types of remodeling:

“Cosmetic Upgrade”…just change out or update some things in the house.

“Structural Changes”…this includes moving walls and changing systems like the plumbing or heat and air. Finishing basements and attics would fall under this category as well.

“Repair of Basement or Foundation Failures”…this is a very specialized type of fix to a very alarming problem with your home. Not every contractor has the equipment or patience to handle this type of situation.

“Emergency Repair”…this is the type of repair that happens unexpectedly.
Why should I hire a contractor for a remodeling job?
Good question…we hear it a lot. I think quite a few folks out there could handle a “Cosmetic Upgrade” to their house on their own. Really, that type of remodel is only dealing with a limited amount of installers. However, if you are getting yourself involved in a “Structural Change”, a “Repair of Basement or Foundation Failure”, or an “Emergency Repair”, you really should obtain a licensed contractor.
There are so many moving parts to these more advanced remodels. Most contractors won’t even quote a remodel, because they know that it is a complicated type of project. Many things are unknown during a remodel. It is not an easy job for the typical subcontractor. Yes! You should probably stay clear of anyone who wants to charge you just to look. And you should certainly be concerned about any company that gives you a quote without taking a look.
